Privacy

Forecone is run by Priors Studio, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. Contact: hello@forecone.app. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it. We are the data controller for the personal data described here under UK GDPR.

What we collect

• Nothing, if you do not sign in. The calculator runs in your browser. Baskets you enter are not sent to us except as ticker symbols when prices are fetched, and share links contain the basket in the URL itself, not in our database.
• Your email address, if you sign in. Sign-in is by magic link, so we never see or store a password. Authentication is handled by Supabase.
• Saved portfolios: the name you give them and the basket definition (tickers, weights, horizon, amounts, rebalance rule). We never ask for, and do not want, your age, income, goals or risk tolerance.
• Subscription state: whether your account is on the free or Pro plan and a Stripe customer reference. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see them.
• Server logs: standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) kept by our hosting provider for a short period for security and debugging.

Why we use it

• To sign you in and show you your saved portfolios (performance of a contract with you).
• To take payment and keep your plan in step with your subscription (performance of a contract).
• To keep the service secure and working (our legitimate interests).

We do not sell personal data, run advertising, or use your data to profile you.

Who processes it for us

• Supabase (database and authentication).
• Stripe (payments and billing portal).
• Vercel (hosting).

Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, transfers rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.

Cookies

We set only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. There are no analytics or advertising cookies. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout and billing pages.

How long we keep it

Your account and saved portfolios stay until you delete them or ask us to close the account. Stripe keeps billing records for as long as tax law requires. Server logs are kept for no more than 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our processing, by emailing hello@forecone.app. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes

If this page changes materially, the date at the top will change and signed-in users will be told by email.
